I forgot to mention Sawyer's 18 month stats....30.5 pounds and 35.5 inches! Doesn't have to go to the doctor or dentist until she is two! Which is right around the corner...
She is pretty much amazing.
She can count to five. She thoroughly enjoys, standing on the coffee table, counting to three, then lunging herself off onto one of us who is sitting on the couch.
I find her climbing on our bar stools. She can also climb on top of our table.
She stands on top of her kiddy table, and just watches tv that way. Sometimes, she'll get mad and just flips it over like baby hulk hogan.
She sleeps like a big girl, in her own room (crib mattress on the floor).
She knows where your head, ears, eye, nose, mouth, chin and teeth are and she will show you. (Just be ready when she says, eyes! She'll poke your eye out.)
She loves putting on shoes and going "side", outside.
She loves dogs, and yes she still kisses strangers.
She throws thrash away, in the garbage can, underneath the sink.
She says so many words....too many to count.
After a messy pb and j, she comes up to me, sticks her sticky hands up....like mom please wash my hands.
She still loves baths, (we don't say this word out loud or else she expects one). She also drinks her bubbly bath water, even though we tell her not to.
She has all of her teeth, except her two year old molars. (Brushing teeth is a battle, usually requires two people and tears.)
She loves her sandbox. And her pool. She likes collecting rocks and sticks and throwing them in the water.
She thinks down means up.
She got her first black eye, bump on her head and skinned knee, all in the same week.
She loves her "bee bee" (binky).
My goal in life is to inspire people. Follow me while I do what I do and tell it like it is. Oh yeah, and I have a beautiful family.

Garter Belts
With so many people around me getting hitched, thought I could make some sweet homemade garter belts. I bought ribbon (that is elastic, and already looks like a garter belt), comes by the yard at Joann's. I bought already made flowers found at any craft store, and ribbon. I literally measured it to my thigh, to get the right length.
These are the settings I used on the Singer. The only sewing involved was the garter belt, or ribbon. I just pinned the ribbon together with two pins and sewed forward, reverse, forward, reverse like four times. White thread of course.
My biggest kept secret...I hot glued gunned all the flowers! I just tied a bow from the purple ribbon. The center with the white flower, is where I sewed the garter together, to hide the stitch.
Hope you enjoy!

Hello Summer!
Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass....it's about learning how to dance in the rain. Be kinder than necessary, because everyone is fighting some kind of battle ....
Love endures many things.
Surround yourself with people you love.
My Sawyer's new favorite movie.

Surround yourself with people you love.
My latest wreath.
I have so much to share. I am redoing an antique dresser for Sawyer. I have plans to spruce up her room and maybe invest in a toddler bed or a twin. I want to paint our pantry door with chalkboard paint. I want to make a headboard for our bedroom, possibly out of six foot dog ear cedar fence planks? We need to rip out carpets in our living room and finish fencing the back yard. So much to do. I am also dedicating the month of June, studying for my CEN exam, it's time.
We also went to the ocean for memorial day weekend and it was perfection. I can't wait to share pictures and stories. Stay tuned.

A bad day turned good...
I take pride in how organized and efficient I am and today my worse nightmare came true. Well, second to worse nightmare, first being all of my teeth falling out into my hands. To make a long story short. I showed up to a two day class, thinking today was day one...when it was actually day two. Oops. After pulling myself together, I called my mom and husband, they both made me feel better. Seriously, I wonder sometimes. This class was in Silverdale, so I drove to Bremerton to figure things out. Then I parked, where I always do, to go into the hospital and a parking nazi security guard, told me I couldn't park there. What, but I park here all the time? Apparently, only after 11am am I allowed to park there. This is after I already trucked up the hill to get there. Holding back tears, I walked backed to my car and drove around and parked as far as I could away from the freaking hospital. Thank god my cert didn't actually expire until Fall and I could register for another class in July.
Then I got a pedicure, shopped at Target, and had a mom made egg sammy. Things were getting better. My mom gave me a sweet pyrex dish she found. I tried to find a picture online and this one is the closest I could find.
Pretty amazing right? I thought so. It's sometime after 1961. Then to finish off the night with some homemade taco soup, a pampered chef party and good friends. Oh yeah and American Idol, and kisses from my husband and baby girl. Goodnight moon.

Jake said I could...
Projects just come to me in my head. Then I google them, and find out that every one and their mom already came up with this brilliant idea. I know chalk board paint is the new fad but I really did think I was the first with the pantry door idea. Silly me.
Check out the chalk board God website, I found while searching for pictures...
